BT Sport ha acquistato la prima partita di Louis van Gaal come allenatore del Manchester United, mentre Sky Sports segue i difensori del titolo Manchester City nel weekend di apertura della stagione della Premier League.
Manchester United-Swansea City sarà la prima partita della nuova stagione ad essere trasmessa in diretta, a partire dalle 12:45 di sabato 16 agosto su BT Sport. La partita di apertura dell'Arsenal contro il Crystal Palace inizierà alle 17:30 più tardi quel giorno, in diretta su Sky Sports.
Il giorno seguente, domenica 17 agosto, il Newcastle ospiterà i campioni della Premier League Manchester City e Liverpool giocare a Southampton, entrambi programmati per essere trasmessi in diretta su Sky Sports.
Sky ha anche annunciato che tutti e sette i canali Sky Sports saranno disponibili gratuitamente per i clienti Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk e UPC il primo giorno della stagione.
